From Geneva’s refined art salon to the exclusive tennis world of Bollettieri and the secretive charm of Milan’s underground dining room—each place held its own captivating magic.
With an aristocratic air, she would survey her surroundings, declaring, “To rest is to live!” while sipping from a crystal bowl. Her canine companions, in awe, often wondered how one could master the art of idleness. Pausa, with a wag of her tail, would simply reply, “Darling, the secret lies in choosing the finest spots for repose!”

Luís Lázaro Matos was born in Évora, Portugal, in 1987. He currently lives and works in Bruxelles. The art practice of Luis Lazaro Matos is mostly expressed through drawing, sculpture, animation and installation, inherently diluting the frontiers between disciplines such as design and fine art. Luis’ work often presents itself through architectural counter-proposals, reflecting his interest in drawing as a critical and satirical tool through which modernist and post-modernist utopian visions may be analyzed and reinterpreted.
